Police seek woman in connection with burglary investigation

The Arkansas City Police Department is looking a young woman in connection with a burglary of an Ark City home that was reported early Thursday morning.

The suspect is described as a white female between the ages of 18 and 22 years old, with brown hair and brown eyes. She is accused of burglary of a dwelling and criminal damage to property. Officers were dispatched at 6:49 a.m. Thursday for a report of a burglary in progress in the 1600 block of North 13th Street. They contacted the victim, who said the suspect just had left the residence.

The victim said that when she arrived home from work, she discovered the suspect inside her house. She also said she thought the suspect was extremely intoxicated at the time. Anyone with any information about this crime or this suspect is asked to call the Arkansas City Police Department at (620) 441-4444.
