Sheriff’s Deputy was requested to check the welfare on an individual in the 32000 block of Tower Road. Deputy checked the individual and they were fine.

Victim reported a lost Social Security check in the 10000 block of 91st Road

Business alarm in the 23000 block of Avery Avenue. The building was checked and no signs of forced entry were observed.

Reckless driver reported in the 22000 block of US 77

Theft report taken from Dexter. Victim’s wallet was stolen and someone is using their financial cards.

Attempted theft report taken in the 10000 block of 284th Lane

Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to the 14000 block of 212th Road for a deceased horse that was allegedly shot. Upon investigation it was determined that the horse was not shot and most probably died of old age.

Domestic battery report taken in the 2000 block of N 23rd

Sheriff’s Deputy took a report at the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office in reference to domestic battery that occurred in the 15000 block of 11th Road.

Battery report taken for an incident that occurred in the Cowley County Jail between inmates.

The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office was informed of a reckless driver traveling south on 21st Road, who was possibly intoxicated. A Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop the vehicle when a chase ensued. The vehicle continued to the Strother Field area where they were lost. The vehicle was later located by a Trooper with the Kansas Highway Patrol south bound near Hackney. The driver, Corbin Ray Smith was finally stopped in the 21000 block of US 77 and arrested on multiple charges after going into a creek.
