Man in Pellet Gun Case Also Charged With Robbing Man of Pizza, Wings

The Ark City man charged in a recent disturbance involving a pellet gun is also facing a felony charge in connection with an unrelated incident in which he is said to have robbed a man of pizza and wings.

32-year-old Michael K. Shine made an appearance with counsel on Thursday afternoon in Ark City. He is facing multiple charges for crimes he is accused of committing July 31.

That day, according to a report from local police, Shine used a pellet gun to damage property and injure people during a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of North Third. He is also said to have struck and injured an arresting officer.

He is currently being held in the Cowley County Jail.

Shine is represented by Ark City attorney Tim Showalter. A next appearance for Shine is set for later this month.

During the proceedings Thursday, prosecutors also discussed another charge, from this Spring, that Shine is facing.

On May 23, he is accused of using force or threat of bodily harm to rob someone. He is charged with robbery for taking a large pizza, a bowl of hot wings and a two-liter bottle of Pepsi.
