Four Hurt in Collision North of Winfield Monday Afternoon

Four people were injured Monday afternoon in an accident that occurred north of Winfield on U.S. 77 highway.

Around 3:05 p.m., a 2001 Ford F-150 driven by 20-year-old Brice Sellers, of Milan, was northbound on 77 when a southbound vehicle turned into his path of travel, according to the Cowley County Sheriff’s Dept. 31-year-old Hana Albeladi, of Wichita, was the driver of the second vehicle, which was southbound and attempting to make a turn.

Reports from the scene indicated the crash was headon.

Both drivers were taken by EMS to William Newton Hospital in Winfield.

A front seat passenger in Sellers’s vehicle, 20-year-old Ashley DeHoff, of Anthony, was transported by ambulance to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. DeHoff was in critical condition this morning, according to a hospital spokesperson.

A rear seat passenger in Sellers’s vehicle, 22-year-old Patrick Mbahi, of Argonia, was transported to the hospital in Winfield in a private vehicle.

The accident near the intersection of 77 and 132nd Rd.

Current conditions for all those injured, were not immediately available.
