USD 470 has updated the 2017-2018 calendar to provide instructional and support staff a professional learning and development day.
Recently, the school board approved designating Feb. 28, 2018 as a no school day for this purpose.
The professional development opportunity will focus on technology, creativity, and finding the best tools to serve students.
“While we regret any inconvenience this calendar change may cause,” USD 470 Superintendent Dr. Ron Ballard, said. “We believe this will be a truly beneficial experience for our staff and ultimately for our students.”
