Ark City Athletes Do Well At Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Event In Texas

The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition team from Elite Training Center Academy, traveled to the Nytex Sport Center in North Richland Hills Texas, on Saturday to attend the North American Grappling Association World Championships.

Lisandro Mejia won two gold and one silver in the no-gi divisions. Coach Steve Bruce won a silver in the expert no-gi division and Tommy Pacheco received a bronze medal.

NAGA is the world’s largest mixed grappling tournament circuit with over 500,000 competitors worldwide.

The ETCA team represented Ark City and their academy very well! Everyone on the team placed in their divisions.

“Brazilian Jiu Jitsu continues to be a growing sport in this country and this team will continue to grow with it. We plan on continued success with our grappling program.” Coach Steve Bruce said.
