William Newton Hospital Welcomes First Baby of 2018

The first baby born in 2018 at the William Newton Family Birthing Center was delivered at 11:12 p.m. on Monday in Winfield.

Remi Claire Bennett, daughter of Taylor and Natalie Bennett, weighed eight pounds five ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

Baby Bennett was delivered by Dr. K. Daniel Miller, DO, of Sunflower OB-GYN.

Taylor Bennett, the father, is originally from Dexter and is employed by the City of Arkansas City in water distribution. Mother Natalie is from Cedar Vale. The family currently resides in Arkansas City.

The William Newton Family Birthing Center is equipped with seven private rooms and two birthing suites. In 2017, William Newton Hospital welcomed 271 newborns to its nursery. For more information, visit here..
