Cowley County Sheriff’s Record for January 8-10, 2018

January 8

Troy Scott Juden of Oxford was involved in a non-injury rollover accident at 202nd Rd. and 31st Road.

Deputy checked on a vehicle in the 4,000 block K-15 Hwy was left unattended in the ditch. The vehicle appeared to have slid off the road hitting the ditch causing damage to the vehicle. The owner of the vehicle wasn’t able to be contacted.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a non-injury accident in the 3,000 block K-15 Highway. Taylor Renea Nichols of Wichita slid off the roadway causing damage to a fence owned by Chris Lette of Wichita.

Bobby Jonas Amey of Cambridge was involved in a non-injury, single vehicle accident in the 13,000 block 253rd Road.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a vehicle on it’s side in the 23,000 block 151st Road. The single occupant, Joanna Marie Richardson of Winfield, was assisted out of her car by Winfield Fire Department. She was not injured.

Raymond Charles Wolfe of Winfield was involved in a single vehicle noninjury accident in the 23,000 block K-15 Highway.

David Garcia of Wichita was involved in a single vehicle non-injury accident in the 4,000 block K-15 Highway. Garcia was cited for Driving without a Valid Drivers License.

Deputy responded to the 4,000 block 252nd Rd for a report of animals in the roadway.

Deputy dispatched to an overturned skid loader in the ditch in the 2000 Blk of 202nd Rd. Contact was made with the owner who advised his hired hand had tipped it and suffered a broken arm. He was taken by personal vehicle to the hospital.

Report was made for Aggravated Assault in the 21000 Blk of Hoover Ave. An individual riding an ATV reported a neighbor threatened him with a baseball bat as he was riding past his house. No arrest was made at this time.

Cowley County Deputy spoke to an individual who was being harassed through Facebook in the 8000 Blk of91st Rd.

January 9

Car vs. Deer in the 2,000 block US 166 Highway.

Car vs. Deer in the 3,000 block US 160 Highway.

Deputy responded to Rock for a report of a pig running loose. The owners arrived and took it home.

Deputy checked on a child walking along the road in the 11000 Blk of 142nd Rd. Child was returned home and parent was notified.

January 10

Vehicle was stopped in the Strother Field area for running a stop sign. The driver, Terry Herl, was arrested for Driving While Suspended and Habitual Violator.
