An Ark City businesswoman is continuing to recover from an attack Saturday night in Wichita that led to the arrest of a 37-year-old man.
Ann Hotchkin – a stylist at Remedies Salon & Boutique – sustained numerous head and facial injuries, some of which will require surgery to repair, friends said. A GoFundMe page has been established to help defray the costs of her recovery, especially money lost to time away from work.
Around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Wichita Police responded to a report of a woman who had been beaten and injured. Hotchkin was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
The suspect in the case was not at the scene when police arrived. Hotchkin knew the suspect, who was identified as 37-year-old Jason S. Hoffman. Police issued a pickup order for Hoffman for felony domestic violence.
Hoffman was arrested Sunday afternoon at another location in Wichita and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on a count of aggravated battery. His bond is set at $50,000.
Hoffman remained in jail Monday, according to online arrest records.
