The Cowley County Sheriff’s department has named two people who were injured Thursday night in a rollover motor vehicle accident north of Winfield.
Josh Amos, 52, of Ark City, was driving southbound and attempting to turn on to 82nd Rd. when he was struck from behind by another southbound vehicle driven by Usman Ashraf, 40, of Winfield.
The accident occurred around 8:45 p.m.about nine miles north of Winfield.
Amos was taken by ambulance to William Newton Hospital in Winfield for treatment. Ashraf was taken by air ambulance to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Both sustained non-life threatening injuries. The roadway in that area was shut down for a time.
Ashraf was cited for following to closely.
