Cowley County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 31,000 block 11th Rd for a burglary of a residence that had just occurred. A small truck with no taillights was seen leaving the property with metal in the bed. The burglary is still under investigation.

Car versus deer in the 24,000 block 91st Road.

Deputies collected a Quantum 6000 electric wheelchair that was retrieved from the river on 1/29/18 by the West Chestnut bridge. Attempts are being made to track the owner of the wheelchair.

Amanda Leann Evinger of Arkansas City was arrested on a Failure to Appear warrant and booked into the Cowley County Jail.

Deputy spoke with a resident in the 28,000 block 121st about a civil issue.

Rochelle Renee Medlin of Arkansas City was arrested on a Failure to Appear warrant and booked into the Cowley County Jail.

Deputy checked on a vehicle parked in the 2,000 block of 322nd Road. The vehicle was off the road and secure.

Deborah Kay Walker of Arkansas City was arrested on a Failure to Appear warrant and booked into the Cowley County Jail.

Report of a reckless driver in the 11,000 block of 132nd Road. Deputy checked the area and the vehicle had left the area.

Deputy responded to the 10,000 block of 286th Rd. for a dog complaint.

Report of a reckless driver in the 22,000 block US 77 Highway. The vehicle had left the area prior to deputy’s arrival. 7:05 PM 02-01-18 Cowley County Deputy took a report for fire damage in the 14000 Blk of 172nd Rd. It was reported that a neighbor was burning brush when it grew out of control. The fire damaged two adjacent properties causing damage to trees, fencing, and grass.

Complaint of ATV’s near the river at 7000 312th Rd. None were located.

Deputy took a report at the Cowley County Jail for contraband.

Deputies responded to the 2900 Blk of Country Club in Winfield for an alarm call. No issues were found.

Outside agency was assisted in locating an owner of a vehicle in the Udall area.

Cowley County Deputies assisted Sumner County Sheriff’s Dept. in locating a stolen vehicle involved in a pursuit. Vehicle was last seen east of Mulvane. Vehicle was described as a 90’s green Chevy pickup with items in the back. Tag displayed on it does not belong to the truck.
