Sparks from an electrical line, and windy conditions, are believed to have started a fire Tuesday that burned some small structures in Ark City.
Just after 10 a.m., fire crews were called to an area just north of the intersection of Edgemont Dr. and Greenway for the report of a fire. The fire took about a half hour to bring fully under control.
Wind and dry conditions caused concern for firefighters who worked to keep the fire from spreading. No injuries were reported.
Two sheds were said to have been heavily damaged or destroyed by the fire. A house and garage in the area sustained minor damage, as did a deck, fence and other small structures in the area.
Fire investigators have not released an estimate as to the dollar amount of the damage.
