Ark City Man Arrested Wednesday After Temporarily Fleeing From Authorities

Cowley County deputies arrested an Ark City man early Wednesday morning following a pursuit that began in Winfield.

Around 1:16 a.m., a deputy attempted to stop the vehicle near the fairgrounds. The driver did not stop and a pursuit began.

It ended in the 6000 block of U.S. 160 highway when the driver, later identified at 23-year-old Trey Moore, wrecked the vehicle he was in. Deputies pursued Moore on foot and took him into custody.

He was transported to the Cowley County Jail and booked on charges of flee and elude, driving with a revoked license, habitual violator and possession of meth and paraphernalia.

Moore also had several warrants in Kansas and Oklahoma, according to a report. He remained in jail as of this morning.
