One person was critically injured and four others were injured in a single-vehicle accident this morning just south of Udall on Cowley 3.
Emergency crews responded sometime before 6 a.m.
A patient was transported to a hospital by air ambulance. That person was said to be in critical condition at the scene. An update on their condition was not immediately available.
Four others were transported by Winfield EMS to Wichita-area hospitals.
The Cowley County Sheriff’s Dept. is investigating. More details will be provided as they become available later in the day.
The accident closed Cowley 3, also known as 21st Rd., to traffic for a time. However, the roadway has reopened, according to information from Cowley County Fire Dist. 4.
