Six Are Arrested On Drug-Related Charges Early Monday In Winfield

Several people remained in jail Wednesday after drug-related arrests made by Winfield Police early Monday.

Around 3 a.m., police arrested six individuals who were booked into the Cowley County Jail, with assistance from the sheriff’s dept. The arrests were made in the 600 block of W. Ninth.

26-year-old Chance Jackson, 24-year-old Tia Moore, both of Ark City, 41-year-old Carmen Carothers-Graham, Kelly Smith, both of Winfield, and 51-year-old Michael Hawkins, of Junction City, were arrested for possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bond was set at $6,000 for each person. Jackson posted bond on Monday and was released.

The others remain in jail.

42-year-old Richard Fewox was arrested for possession of meth and paraphernalia, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and two outstanding warrants. His bond was set at $13,000 and he remained in jail Wednesday.

The arrests were made at 601 W. Ninth which is the location of Liberty Inn. A person reached at the phone number for the business confirmed those arrested had been staying at the Inn but referred all other questions to police.
