Wellington Police are investigating a stabbing death that occurred early Saturday morning.
Shortly before 2:30 a.m., police officers along with Wellington EMS responded to the 300 Block of North B Street in reference to a reported stabbing.
Upon arrival officers discovered a 26-year-old man with a wound to his upper chest. He was treated by Wellington EMS and transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, where he later died.
So far, there has been no information released as to the identity of the deceased or anyone else potentially involved in the incident.
