An Ark City Police vehicle was involved in an injury accident this morning.
The crash occurred at the intersection of 2nd and Chestnut when a car struck the front driver’s side portion of a police SUV. An officer was transported to the hospital and was said to be experiencing neck and back pain, an officer at the scene told KSOK-NewsCow.
The Cowley County Sheriff’s Dept. was called to the scene to investigate, which is standard in cases where an officer is involved.
The street in that area was closed for a time so the scene could be processed.
