Dixie Wade

Dixie Lee Wade, 81, of Arkansas City, Kan., passed away Wednesday, June 5th, 2019, with her family by her side.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Friday (June 7, 2019) at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home Chapel in Arkansas City. The burial will take place shortly thereafter at Parker Cemetery.
She was born to Sarah (Hughes) and Joseph Golden on December 4, 1937, in Arkansas City Kansas. Dixie graduated from Cedar Vale in 1955 and then attended Cowley County Community College. She married Loren Joe Wade, Jr. on May 2, 1964, in Ark City. The couple lived in Lahoma, Oklahoma, before relocating back to Arkansas City. Dixie Lee had a very successful career at General Electric, and, after retirement, worked for the Church of Jesus Christ (Latter Day Saints). Dixie was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
Survivors include her loving husband Loren Joe Wade of Ark City; two children: Valarie Rebecca Kay Wade, of Ark City; Joseph David Wade, of Enid, Oklahoma; and one grandchild, Kain Alexander Wade of Enid.
Dixie wass preceded by her daughter Lori Jo Wade.
A memorial has been established with the Church of Jesus Christ (Latter Day Saints) of Arkansas City. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
Arrangements are being made through the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory of Arkansas City.
