Milder temperatures are expected to usher in the Cowley County Fair, which begins Thursday in Winfield and runs through Monday.
Highs are forecasted to remain 95 degrees or below all five days of the fair, with highs 80 or below Friday and Saturday. There is a potential for rain Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The fun begins Thursday with monster truck action in the grandstand. Figure 8 racing is set for Friday and Saturdays nights and rodeo action is slated for Sunday and Monday.
Weee Entertainment will provide carnival rides and games for the fair. Numerous 4-H livestock events and exhibits will also be open to the public. A midway mainstage is also open daily and free to those in attendance.
