A child sustained minor injuries and a driver was cited following a collision between a vehicle and a bicycle and rider early Monday in Ark City.
Around 7:25 a.m., police were called to the 100 block of E Kansas Ave. for the report of a motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist. Offers arrived to find an 11-year-old Ark City boy who had been struck while riding his bike in a crosswalk.
The child sustained minor injuries. He was examined by Ark City EMS and released to a parent at the scene.
34-year-old Zachary Ford, Ark City, was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
