Crime Stoppers: Police Seek Tips To Find Who Burglarized AC Public Works Shop

Ark City Police are asking for the public’s help to determine who burglarized the Ark City Public Works Shop this summer. It’s the September Crime Stoppers Crime of the month.

On July 25, at 7:25 a.m., officers were dispatched to 1407 W. Madison Avenue in Arkansas City, for the report of a Burglary. The building is a public works facility operated by the City of Arkansas City. 

It was reported that entry was made to the building sometime after 5 p.m. on July 22 and before it was reported. 

Upon further investigation, it was determined that just under $16,000 worth of tools was stolen from the property. Items stolen included chainsaws, leaf blowers, pole saws, weed eaters, impact drills, a welder, and a backpack sprayer.
