A theft at the CO-OP in Atlanta has been designated as the Cowley County CrimeStoppers Crime of the month for January.
Sometime between Dec. 24 and Dec. 26 an unknown person or people broke into the Atlanta CO-OP and stole more than 50 rolls of barbed wire, commercial truck tires, a 24 volt back-up light, a round LED floodlight, and several other lights and tools, valued at over $7,000.
Due to the volume of items taken it is believed that the thief or thieves likely used a pick up and or a trailer to transport the stolen property from the scene.
The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance from anyone who may have information about this crime.
Cowley County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or people responsible for these crimes.
