February 10

Report of  a vehicle pulling a trailer with no lights on trailer.  Deputy checked the area and did not locate the reported vehicle

Report of a vehicle with a flat tire in the area of Strother Field on Highway 77.  No assistance was requested

Car versus deer accident reported in the 5000 block of K15

Harrassment call in the 800 block of Millington

Car versus deer motor vehicle accident at 166 and 21st Road

Motorist assist at Summit and Highway 77

Prisoner Transport provided for the Arkansas City Police Department

Motorist assist on Higway 77 at 71st Road

Dog bite reported in the area of the 33000 block of Tower Road

Motorist assist at K360 and US 160

Report of a neighbor shooting their dogs in the 21000 block of Hoover Avenue

Citizen reported damage to their fence in the 27000 block of 81st Road

Report of a refridgerator in the roadway in the 9000 block of US 166

February 11

Motor vehicle accident in the 31000 block of 11th Road.  A white 2006, Dodge Durango, driven by Lytashia Lair, 25 years old, from Augusta, Kansas was driving north on 11th Road.  The driver went off of the roadway, overcorrected and swerved across the road and came to rest on its side, on the east side of the road.  Lair was transported to the South Central Kansas Medical Center for her injuries.  The accident occurred at approximately 3:15 AM and the Sheriff’s Office was not notified until 6:24 AM.  The surface of the road is asphalt.

Report of a possible scam in the 23000 block of 152nd Road

Motorist assist at 232nd and US 77

Motor vehicle accident at US 77 and 82nd Road.  A black 2014, Chevrolet passenger car, driven by Justin Hatfield, of Arkansas City, Kansas was traveling south on US 77 and struck the rear of a black 1999 Dodge Truck, driven by Monte Berger of Udall, Kansas.  Berger was slowing to make a turn onto 82nd Road when it was struck.  No injuries or major damage was reported by either driver.  A minor child, 14 years of age was a passenger in the Dodge Truck and reported no injuries.

Sheriff’s Deputies assisted with traffic at a grass fire in the 4000 block of 42nd Road

Motorist assist at US 166 and Country Club Road

Report of a wreckless driver at Highway 77 and 82nd Road

Report of a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of Paradise Road.  Vehicle was later returned to the owner

Citizen requested to speak with a deputy in reference to civil papers in the 500 block of N. 6th Street, Arkansas City

Report of someone shooting their mailbox in the 14000 block of 131st Road

Report of an abandoned vehicle in the 3000 block of N. 15th in Arkansas City

Report of a deceased dog in the 6000 block of 302nd Road.  Dog appeared to have been shot and left in a ditch

Abandoned vehicle checked in the area of 51st Road and 304th Road in Arkansas City

Deceased deer removed from the roadway in the 23000 block of US 77
