A pedestrian was injured late Tuesday when they were struck by a vehicle in the area of the McDonald’s in Winfield.
Just before 10 p.m., authorities were sent to the fast-food restaurant on Pike Rd. for a report a person on foot being hit. A 20-year-old woman, Aubrey Nagy, was complaining of head and knee pain.
Police chief Danny Parker said it appeared that the pedestrian was not paying attention to the traffic and walked out in front of the vehicle. Nagy, he said, was transported to William Newton with non-life-threatening injuries.
Danielle Moore was identified as the driver involved in the accident. She was not issued a citation.
