Three people - said to have ties to Cowley County - were found dead Thursday inside a home in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Authorities identified the victims as 49-year-old Michael Deuschle, 43-year-old Tessa Deuschle and 24-year-old Chelsea Kessel.

Tessa Deuschle and Kessel are from Winfield. Tessa Deuschle attended high school in Winfield and has family remaining in this area, friends said.

The Knoxville News Sentinel reports that police were called to a home in Oak Ridge around 8 a.m. to conduct a welfare check. A sister of one of the victims had called 911 with concerns.

No one answered the door. Officers entered after looking through a window and seeing what appeared to be a deceased person. The victims were then discovered.

Police told the News Sentinel that three shots were fired and each person appeared to have died from a single wound. Preliminary investigation leads police to believe that Kessel and Tessa Deuschle were shot first, before Michael Deuschle took his own life.
