A Ponca City man was arrested early Tuesday morning and is a suspect in a break-in said to have occurred at a residence in Ark City.

Felipe Cabrales Jr., 23, was booked into the Cowley County jail on charges of aggravated burglary, robbery, battery and criminal damage to property. He remains in jail with his bond set at $11,750.

On Monday, according to a report from police, officers were called to a residence in the 1000 block of N. Fifth for the report of a break-in. The alleged victim in the case said three males knocked on the door, busted in and demanded money.

When no money was obtained, the suspects are said to have taken the victim’s cell phone and began breaking items in the house. The victim fled and ran to a neighbor’s house.

The suspects then fled the scene, police said.

Suspects were developed and Cabrales was arrested a short time later. A second person involved was identified and is said to be cooperating with investigators. Police are continuing to work to investigate the third suspect involved.
