Ark City police are looking for information from the public that will help lead to the recovery of heavy equipment stolen from a local construction site this week.

A 2012 John Deere skid steer was taken sometime Tuesday or Wednesday from a construction site at Summit and Maple, according to chief of police Sean Wallace. The item is the property of the Rental Station.

The skid steer has a model number of JD315 and a serial number of 1T00315ATCG231566.

If you have information regarding its whereabouts, please call police at 441-4444 or CrimeStoppers at 442-7777.

Police have released a photo of a skid steer that is very similar to the one that has been stolen. The owner says everything in the photo is the same, except the stolen skid steer has a smooth bucket. There also are Rental Station stickers on the arms and back door of the item.

It also a sticker on the front that reads, "no chain hook by hydraulics."
