An Atlanta man is recovering from wounds he suffered in a stabbing at his home Saturday evening.
Jonathan Pinkerton, 36, was hospitalized over the weekend after being stabbed in the back during a domestic dispute in the 600 block of Omnia. He was taken to the hospital in Winfield before being transported to Wichita, where he was treated and later released, according to authorities.
Initial information indicated the man was stabbed in the abdomen area, but that was incorrect, Cowley County undersheriff Bill Mueller said.
Stacy Loraine Blenz, 35, Atlanta, was arrested in connection with the incident. She is facing charges expected to include aggravated battery, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, interference with a law enforcement officer, transporting an open container and DUI.
She was released Monday morning on $9,800 bond, according to jail records.
A man was injured and a woman was taken into custody Saturday evening, as part of a stabbing investigation in Atlanta.
Around 7 p.m., Cowley County Sheriff deputies were called to the 600 block of Omnia for the report of a disturbance. They arrived to find a man injured and learned a female suspect had fled the scene.
The man suffered a stab wound to his abdomen, according to undersheriff Bill Mueller.
The female suspect, who has yet to be named publicly, later returned to the scene and was placed under arrest.
An investigation into the incident - which Mueller characterized as a domestic dispute - is ongoing.
The injured man was taken to William Newton Hospital for treatment. It was not immediately clear if his injuries were critical.
