The office of the Butler County Sheriff has identified three people injured in the accident near Augusta.
Michelle L. Davis, 53, Winfield, was the driver of the truck. Mark A. Davis, 54, and Sierra Davis, 9, were the passengers. All three were taken to Wesley Medical Center, according to the accident report.
Michelle and Sierra are no longer patients at the hospital, according to a spokesperson. Mark Davis was listed in fair condition Monday morning.
Three Cowley County people were injured - but are expected to recover - in a rollover accident just east of Augusta Saturday evening.
Around 7:30 p.m., a couple and their 9-year-old granddaughter were eastbound on Highway 54 about a tenth of a mile west of Walnut Valley Rd. The woman driving told investigators she fell asleep, drove through the center median and the westbound lanes.
The family’s Ford F-150 rolled and ended up in the north ditch. A dog inside was not injured, according to Sgt. Mike Goad of the Butler County Sheriff’s Dept.
Goad said all three people were alert and responsive at the scene and had injuries that were not considered life threatening. All those involved were transported to a Wichita hospital for treatment.
Grandmother and granddaughter were treated and later released from the hospital, Goad said. The grandfather reportedly suffered a fracture in his neck.
Names of those involved would be released on Monday, authorities said.
