Cowley County Sheriff's Reports for November 28 – 30, 2012
Winfield Fire Dept, Emergency Management personnel and deputies responded to a natural gas leak on 192nd Rd between 101st Rd and 111th Rd.
An alarm was checked at the Cowley Cinema 8.
Four prisoners were transported to the jail for the Ark City Police Dept.
A pedestrian was checked in the 13000 block of US 160.
The Dexter Marshal and deputies checked a report of a shotgun being shot inside the Dexter city limits.
Deputies were contacted by an Ark City resident to whom they had previously issued a citation for transporting an open container. The resident stated she had previously given her sister's ID as her own because her sister was of legal age to possess the alcohol and she was not. The correct ID was verified, and the case forwarded to the County Attorney's Office to cancel the original citation and for consideration of new and additional charges.
Deputies did a welfare check in the 21000 block of Curtis Ave. The resident was fine.
A domestic disturbance was reported in the 30000 block of 85th Dr. Brian Keith Perryman of that address was arrested for aggravated battery and criminal damage to property.
A telephone harassment complaint was received in the 2000 block of 82nd Rd.
A cow was out in the 24000 block of 151st Rd.
A report was received about a problem between juveniles occurring at the IXL Elementary School.
A lost license tag decal was reported from an Ark City resident.
A report was received from a Belle Plaine resident about criminal damage to a vehicle that had occurred near Udall.
Ark City Police officers and deputies investigated a two vehicle injury accident at Lincoln and S Summit.
Minor property damage accident was reported at the Cowley County Landfill.
A horse was out in the 7000 block of 332nd Rd.
Suspicious activity was reported in the 22000 block of 202nd Rd.
A report was received of someone driving southbound in the northbound lanes of US 77, south of Ark City.
A prisoner was transported to the jail for the Ark City Police Dept.
A message was delivered to a resident in the 20000 block of 112th Rd for the Camanche County, OK, Sheriff's Office.
Two Ark City residents, stranded without transportation, were assisted at the Cowley Cinema 8 Theater.
A cow was out near the Maverick arena in the IXL area.
Deputies met a Sumner County deputy at Oxford and took custody of Gary Richard Owen. He had been arrested by Sumner County deputies for the Ark City Police Dept. Owen was arrested for theft, violation of a protective order and telephone harassment. He was transported to the jail.
Atlanta and Winfield Fire Departments and deputies responded to a structure fire in Atlanta.
Deputies assisted Ark City Police officers in searching for a vehicle that had struck an ice machine at a business in the 1700 block of N Summit and left the scene.
A cow was out near the intersection of US 77 and N Summit.
Deputies were dispatched to the 35000 block of US 160 to assist the Elk County Sheriff's Office look for a gas runoff from their county.
An abandoned vehicle was reported in the 10000 block of 11th Rd.
A civil dispute regarding child custody was reported in the 9000 block of 85th Ct.
Illegal dumping was reported in the area of 111th Rd and 192nd Rd.
A possible accident was reported in the 7000 block of 252nd Rd.
Two cars, parked on the side of the road, were checked near the intersection of 111th Rd and US 160.
Suspicious activity, regarding two unknown subjects in the area looking at property, were reported in the 9000 block of 196th Rd.
Cattle were on the road in the 25000 block of 141st Rd.
A domestic disturbance was reported in the 4000 block of 252nd Rd.
A mis-dialed 911 call was received from the 4000 block of 252nd Rd.
A civil dispute regarding child custody was reported from the 1000 block of St James Ct.
A car/deer accident occurred in the 26000 block of US 160.
A reckless driver was reported in the 900 block of Country Club Rd.
Subjects were reported burning trees and drinking alcohol in the 5000 block of 286th Rd.
A burglary and theft was reported in the 31000 block of 61st Rd.
