A Douglass man was killed Friday around noon in an accident that occurred about a mile south of Augusta in Butler County.
Kenneth Shaw, 21, was northbound on U.S. 77 when his 1997 Dodge crossed the center line and collided with a 2008 Kenworth truck. Shaw was not wearing a seat belt, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.
William Wasmer, 51, Wichita, was the driver of the semi truck. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of possible injuries. He was wearing a safety restraint at the time of the crash.
