Cowley College is seeking input from the public as it searches for a new president to replace Dr. Pat McAtee, who retired last month.

Two forums are scheduled for 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Jan. 15 in the Earle N. Wright room at the Brown Center on the campus of the college. The Association of Community College Trustees is assisting Cowley in searching for a new president and is hosting the forums.

John Steinecke, a search consultant with the association, will facilitate the forums. Those unable to attend are asked to contact Steinecke at at with thoughts on what information should be included in the search profile.

Tony Crouch is serving as interim president until a replacement for McAtee is named. The person chosen will become the fourth president in the 90-year history of the school.

School officials said the open forums are viewed as a significant step in the process of the presidential search. The forums will consist of wide-ranging discussion about the qualities and qualifications desired in a new president.
