Cowley College is seeking input from the public as it searches for a new president to replace Dr. Pat McAtee, who retired last month.

Two forums are scheduled for 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Jan. 15 in the Earle N. Wright room at the Brown Center on the campus of the college. The Association of Community College Trustees is assisting Cowley in searching for a new president and is hosting the forums.

John Steinecke, a search consultant with the association, will facilitate the forums. Those unable to attend are asked to contact Steinecke at at jsteinecke@acct.org with thoughts on what information should be included in the search profile.

Tony Crouch is serving as interim president until a replacement for McAtee is named. The person chosen will become the fourth president in the 90-year history of the school.

School officials said the open forums are viewed as a significant step in the process of the presidential search. The forums will consist of wide-ranging discussion about the qualities and qualifications desired in a new president.
