Ark City police probe a home invasion robbery

Ark City police are currently searching for two men said to be suspects in a home-invasion robbery early this morning.

Just after midnight, authorities received a report that a pair of white males forced their way into a residence in the 400 block of N. First St. A man at the home said he heard a knock and answered the door.

Thatís when the suspects are said to have forced their way inside. The perpetrators - who wore all black with black stocking caps - stole an undisclosed amount of property and left through the rear of the residence.

One of the men was said to be wearing a white cloth over his face.

Officers are analyzing evidence recovered at the scene and continue to investigate the incident.

A local tracking team was called to the scene to aid in searching for the suspects.

Anyone who has any information about the identity of the suspects is asked to call the Arkansas City Police Department at 441-4444, Crime Stoppers at 442-7777, or text ACTIPS then your tip to 847411.

Tipsters will remain completely anonymous and could be eligible for up to a $1,000.00 case reward.
