Some after-hours beers at Pizza Hut Wingstreet in Ark City landed three people - two who were restaurant employees - in jail early Monday morning.
Officers were called to the business around midnight when someone called to report seeing people entering the building. Police arrived and could see a man through the drive-through window.
Management for the eatery told police no one should be in the building after hours.
When the first suspect saw officers, he attempted to hide in the kitchen area, according to a written report from police. As officers began checking the doors, he ran from the business and was apprehended in the parking lot of Dillon’s across the street.
Sean J. Stewart, 20, Ark City, was arrested and booked into jail on charges of burglary, theft and consumption by a minor.
Police found evidence that Stewart and Haylee K. Bryant, 19, and Anthony D. Carson Jr., 30, had been drinking beer at the restaurant. Stewart and Carson are employees of Wingstreet, police said.
Bryant and Carson were taken to jail on charges similar to Stewart’s. Carson could also be charged with hosting minors as they unlawfully consumed alcohol.
