Drug task force investigators arrested three people this week after turning up evidence of drug-related activity during the search of a Winfield residence.

At 11 a.m. Monday, Cowley County Drug Task force officers - and deputies of the county sheriff - executed a warrant in the 800 block of E. Third. Information was not immediately available regarding why the home was the subject of a search.

The following arrests were made as a result of the investigation:

Jeffery Wayne Townsend, 26, Winfield, was booked on charges of possession of pot with intent to sell within 1,000 feet of a school and possession of drug-sale and drug-use paraphernalia. Bond was set at $11,000 and Townsend was later released.

Aaron Michael Koller, 22, also of Winfield, faces charges for possession of pot and drug-use paraphernalia. He posted $2,000 bond and was released from jail.

Minn A. Mawia, 21, Winfield, faces charges similar to Kollerís and posted $3,000 before being released.
