A woman has been arrested and is facing charges of aggravated battery after she is said to have attacked her boyfriend during an altercation in Ark City late Monday.

Police said Tywana Harms was arguing with Robert Lange in the 1100 block of N. First when the incident occurred sometime after 10 p.m. The couple had argued when Lange attempted to leave in his truck.

His girlfriend jumped in the bed of the truck and began striking the passenger window of the vehicle with an object. She made her way to the driverís side and struck Lange, causing a large cut on his head.

Lange refused treatment for the injury. Drugs and alcohol were involved in the incident, police said.

Harms was arrested and remained in custody this morning on $7,500 bond. She faces charges of aggravated battery, criminal damage to property and violation of a protective order.

While Harms was being arrested, Lange became involved in an argument with the owners of the home in which the couple were living.

He was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct and violating a protective order his girlfriend had against him.
