Winfield PD: Men with handgun robbed locals

Winfield Police are seeking tips from the public as they investigate an armed robbery, involving a handgun, said to have occurred early Monday.

Around 1 a.m., police and Cowley County Sheriff deputies were called to an address in the 1200 block of Manning. Officers were told that two male individuals entered a residence and robbed four individuals of personal items and an undisclosed amount of cash.

One person was taken by ambulance to William Newton Hospital to be evaluated for injuries sustained during the incident.

The suspects were described as being white males both approximately six feet tall, and average build.

Both were wearing dark clothing and had concealed their face with some type of mask.
