A 24-year-old Ark City man was arrested in Indiana - and has since been returned to Cowley County - on local charges associated with an incident earlier this month.
Donovan Anthony Dean was taken taken into custody in Terre Haute on two arrest warrants out of Cowley Dist. Court. His bond has been set at $30,000 and he remained in jail Monday.
Dean was pulled over and later hospitalized about two weeks ago following a short pursuit with Ark City police. He was said to have surrendered to authorities after falling ill from ingesting meth.
Dean was taken to the hospital for treatment. He was not arrested and the information regarding his case was sent to the county attorney for consideration of charges.
The warrants issued charge him with burglary, theft, aggravated endangerment of a child, possession of drug use paraphernalia, no insurance, driving with a canceled or suspended license and fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement.
Dean had a 16-year-old in the vehicle with him when he was first pulled over.
The sheriff’s department traveled to Indiana to pick Dean up on Sunday.
