Cowley County authorities are still attempting to contact whoever was responsible for leaving a motorcycle parked in the middle of a local roadway.
The sheriff’s department reports that deputies were called late Tuesday to an area in the 3000 block of 211th Road for the report of a Harley Davidson in the roadway. A motorist called to say they had nearly hit the motorcycle as they approached it in the dark, around 11 p.m.
Deputies arrived to find the motorcycle parked in the northbound lane. The owner was nowhere to be found.
Initial attempts to contact the person to which the cycle was registered were not successful and the Harley was eventually towed away.
