A Burden man has pleaded guilty in an Oklahoma courtroom to a charge related to a sex crime investigation involving a 16-year-old girl.

Marcos Guzman entered the plea Tuesday in a Comanche County courtroom. His sentencing was set for 2 p.m. Jan. 6. Guzman was advised of his right to a jury trial and waived that right.

A judge accepted the plea and ordered a pre-sentencing investigation in the case. Guzman was allowed to remain free on $3,500 bond.

On Dec. 28, 2012, an affidavit for an arrest warrant was filed in Comanche County Dist. Court and Guzman was taken into custody a short time later. Court documents show the charge against Guzman stems from an incident said to have occurred at 3:15 a.m. on July 28, 2012. He is said to have been visiting a residence in Geronimo, Okla. when he sexually assaulted a teen girl living there.
