Wellington cops probing JumpStart robbery

Early this morning Wellington Police responded to Jumpstart Conoco, located at 1106 North A Street, in Wellington regarding an attempted robbery.

Clerks reported that shortly after 6 a.m., an unknown subject, dressed in a multi-colored plaid jacket/shirt, dark colored pants, wearing a camouflage style hat, entered the store, and pointed what appeared to be a small caliber handgun toward the clerks.

As the subject approached the counter, he pushed a customer and attempted to remove both registers from the counter without success. He left the business on foot and headed south.

No people inside the business at the time of this incident were harmed.
