Construction of the new RCB Bank location at Radio Lane and Summit is set to be completed soon, according to bank officials.
The facility will open for business on Monday, Jan. 13. A grand opening celebration is expected to take place in early 2014.
The previous building was razed earlier this year and work on the new bank began in mid June. Bank employees have been working out of a modular building set near the construction site.
The new facility has more parking and a spacious interior, including four teller windows, four offices and five drive-thru lanes. The new branch is a departure from current RCB Bank branch designs, and is meant to be sleek and quick with customer access a main priority.
In addition to the opening of the new North branch, the Express branch at 601 N. Summit will undergo a face lift in the coming months. The current drive thru lanes and building will be replaced with two ATMs at a large, double-sided, drive-up kiosk.
One of those will be a “Smart” ATM – which allows the customer to not only withdraw funds from the kiosk but also make deposits. The additional green space at the location will be updated into a park-like atmosphere with new landscaping and other improvements.
