Winfield police are looking for a suspect in an attack and robbery that occurred outside the Jump Start convenience store early Sunday.
Around 2:25 a.m., officers went to the store and spoke with Donald E. Aiello, the victim of the attack. He had suffered minor injuries and said a white male attacked him and took his coat, which had Aiello’s wallet in it.
Aiello told police he was approached by a man and another individual while outside the store. He was struck several times as a man asked for money.
While the suspect did flee the scene, officers have solid information in regard to his identity, said police Det. Lt. Frank Owens. An arrest warrant should be issued soon.
