Mella Mae Simpson, age 94, of Winfield, Kan., passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012, at Cumbernauld Village.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, at Grace Methodist Church. Pastor John Martin, himself a former kindergarten student of Mella Mae’s, will conduct the service. All are invited to the service and to a reception to follow at the church. No gifts please. It will be more than enough to remember Mella Mae’s open spirit and to share something of that spirit with a child. At the reception, we would also ask that those she loved to bring a story about Mella Mae that they might be willing to share with others present.
