Winfield Family Hosting Benefit Concert To Help Injured Loved One

A Winfield family will be hosting a benefit fundraiser on April 20 at 5:30 p.m. at the Winfield Fairgrounds in Barns 8 and 10 for Bryan Bailey.

Bailey, a lifelong Winfield and Cowley County resident, was in an accident in the Fall of 2018 that left him paraplegic. Bailey serves as the Environmental Services Director at Presbyterian Manor in Ark City.

According to information sent to KSOK-NewsCow from the family, Bailey has undergone numerous surgeries and extensive rehabilitation in Lincoln, Neb., since the accident. His home will require various alterations as well as other changes that will need to be made to accommodate his needs.

The family and friends of Bryan and his wife Gail will be hosting a benefit concert featuring the local classic rock legends, Ageless. A BBQ meal will be provided.

Ticket are available at Community National Bank, Presbyterian Manor, the Cowley County Extension Office, Bob’s Liquor, Cates Supply or you may contact Beau Bailey and family (620) 222-1689. Advance tickets are $15. At the event tickets will be $20. There will also be hot dogs available as an alternative.

The BBQ meal and sides will be served beginning at 6 p.m.

Raffle tickets will also be sold for the event. Raffle tickets will be 1/$10 or 3/$25. You do not have to be present to win. Raffle items will be a Green Mountain Daniel Boone Pellet Grill from Cates Supply and a hog that will be available in August for processing from A and L Show Pigs. You also have the option to purchase your tickets the night of the event until 9 p.m. and the announcing of the raffle ticket winners will take place at 9:30 p.m.

There is an opportunity to buy into 3 50/50 drawings the night of the event beginning at 5:30. You may buy into the drawings in increments of $1, $5, or $10. You do not have to be present during the time of announcement to win, but will only be able to buy into it the night of the event. You may purchase tickets from 5:30-9:30 p.m. and winners will be announced during the concert break at 9:30 p.m.

There will be an abundance of items available for bidding at our silent and live auctions. Bidding for the silent auction will be open from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The live auction and announcement for the silent auction will tentatively begin at 7:45 p.m.

The band will tentatively begin playing at 8 p.m. in Barn 10.

Beer sales will be available the night of the event, provided by Bottle Services. $3 for domestic, $4 for craft and there will also be wine available. There will be no BYOB in the event area, this includes all barns west of the grandstands.
