Cowley Men’s Basketball Head Coach Tommy DeSalme has been announced as the new head coach for Hutchinson Community College.
Hutch made the announcement via Twitter Thursday afternoon.
DeSalme led the Tigers to their first national championship title game since the 1950s in April.

Last month, Hutchinson’s longtime former coach, Steve Eck, announced he was retiring from the junior college coaching ranks just before the NJCAA Div. I National Tournament — which is hosted in Hutchinson where the Blue Dragons play.
Eck returned to the Wichita City League, where he had storied success at Wichita South before coaching Hutch, to become the next boy’s basketball coach for Kapaun.
