A group interested in developing Winfield’s Baden Hall into apartments will visit with city leaders and tour the building Monday.
Winfield city commissioners have scheduled a special meeting for 5:30 this evening to talk with the development group, which has yet to be identified by name. NewsCow.net recently reported that a development deal on the building was close to completion.
The city commission is expected to meet shortly after the tour of the building to consider a preliminary development agreement that would let the developers study the property and evaluate the feasibility of a project.
Baden Hall is the last remaining building in the Baden Square development ? formerly the campus of St. John’s College ? to be developed. The city bought the defunct college several years ago and has found uses for most of the buildings.
