White Christmas The Musical Runs Nov. 10-12 At Ark City High School

The Arkansas City High School’s production of Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas the Musical” is Nov. 10-12 at 7 p.m. and there will be a matinee at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12. All performances will take place on the Ark City High School stage.

Tickets are $8 and can be purchased on gofan.co or at the door. There will be no reserved seating.

This classic-style musical is based on the Paramount Pictures 154 film of the same name, in which a successful song-and-dance team partners up with a sister act to save their former commanding general’s Vermont inn.

“Even though “Christmas is in the title”, it really is about nostalgia and American Pride,” Director Andrea Berthot said. “It features crooning, tap dance, beautiful backdrops, stunning costumes, and showcases our incredibly talented students!”

The 70-member cast is led by Berthot, music director Karissa Hoag, choreographer Tara Woodmansee, and former ACHS student Baylee Musson.

“We are very excited for this feel-good, family-friendly gateway to the holiday season,” Hoag said. “The students are putting their heart and soul into this show and we hope to see everyone there.”
