A Winfield man was injured in a motorcycle accident early today and taken to William Newton Hospital for treatment, a Cowley County Sheriff’s Office report said.
Jeffrey Lynes, 26, was injured when he lost control of his 2005 Suzuki motorcycle and went into a ditch on K-360, just east of Wheat Road. The accident occurred around 3:30 a.m. and caused over $1,000 in damages, the report said.
A diagram indicated the motorcycle received extensive damage.
Lynes was taken by ambulance to the hospital, the report showed. The hospital would not release any information about Lynes’ condition.
