Pair out on bond in Okla. arrested in Ark City

Two Winfield people free on bond while waiting Kay County District Court hearings for allegedly stealing clothes from J.C. Penney were arrested over the weekend in Arkansas City.

Danny Knox, 28, was arrested Saturday for a drug law violation. Eugenia Sester, 28, who now gives her address as Newkirk, was arrested on a municipal court bench warrant.

They were arrested June 13 in Ponca City. Sester was charged with felony possession of controlled substances and knowingly concealing stolen property. Two misdemeanor counts were also charged against her.

Knox is charged with concealing stolen property. Sester’s bond was $5,000. She is scheduled for a plea hearing in Newkirk Sept. 12. Knox’s bond was $3,000. His Oklahoma case is set for Sept. 28 for a pre-preliminary hearing, according to court records.

It’s unknown how the Ark City arrests will affect their Oklahoma case.
